Seemed to have mainlined a great deal of sugar in the past three hours or so. Jelly beans to cakes, to lord knows what.
Best friend S.C. sent me lots of New/Old CD's today. Drove to work listening to the best of James Taylor. Lord, it brought me so far back. Had visions of the Berkshires (even before mainlining the sugar) and walking men. Even Karen in Denver came to mind (Going to Carolina in my mind...).
Another breach in N.O. How strong those in that area need to be. What else to do?
Simon Wisenthal was buried about five minutes from my school today. Not a single minister attended his funeral. Shame on our government.
Great interview from an amazing site in regards to Leonard Peltier. Coonski, if you are reading this you have to listen to the interview. First go to the site (follows) and then look down for "America's Best Lawyer's Part I" (Hey there has to be a joke in that title somewhere). After this, click on the word "listen" next to Barry Bowditch. The interview follows. Here is the link: http://www.skyradionet.com/americanbiz.cfm
What else??? Off to the desert for the week. Will be with 38 HS students working with our sister Bedouin School. The October/Nov issue of Reading Today has an article and photos that I wrote and I think will be really nice. See if you can have the reading specialist in your school district lend it to you so that you can say, "I know that guy." Modesty...sure.
