Picture perfect…We have all gotten way, way too caught up in perfection. It’s a societal malady that bothers me and impacts all. Because we are not perfect, and because striving to be perfect is absurd, I vote that we cast this pursuit out the window. This goes for imperfect photographs as well as imperfect writing that I produce or works by my students. Striving to be perfect is perhaps the greatest reason so many people quit. Find a person who will help you retouch live with spots and dots. Deal with a few grammatical errors but focus on the content. Such wonderful words have been written that signify so little. Just do your best (but really do it) and live with the results. Every now and then the results will stun you if you stay with something.
