Did another ride in the park yesterday. First, I was dodging the weather. Rained in the early morn and then the sky opened a bit though it still was dark and threatening. I juggled the idea of doing a spinning class or going outside and doing the dodge ball game with Saturday Freds. I finally opted for the park and took it slow though I still had my moments of incredulity as people meandered with perpetual stupidity. Hope I am not being too hard on my fellow human beings.
Hamas? Guess when your present system is so corrupt even Hamas looks good. Their social service programs have provided more real relief to the masses than the corrupt Tunis crew, and since they stand up to the IDF and take a licking while keeping on ticking (pun not intended-sure), they really were the obvious choice. But now...they have to re-invent themselves. Think of it. First, if they want the big bucks from the Americans and Europeans they really do have to recognize us and do an IRA transformation. If not, then no money (though I think if the money does come they will profit in the same way Y.A. did have open their own accounts in cheeseland). However...let's see if Al Aska and others don't fill the void to ensure instability. Perhaps though my pessimism is all off key and I'll be shown completely inaccurate. I really hope that I will too as just for a moment in time I'd like to see all of us going towards a better future.
On another cheery note, I read how some prominent scientists think that we may have already tipped the environment scale and that our destruction of the planet is such that there is no return. Why in hell aren't our politicians focused on this? Why isn't the U.N. passing in-security resolutions to address this? Why aren't our religious leaders up on the pulpits or screaming from atop their minerets a message to protect what we must hold onto and for all of us to stop having so many babies? Bucks again.
Saw an amazing sky display yesterday at the beach. I posted a few photos and sent in some others. There was a three minute period of surreal light that one is fortunate enough to catch every now and then. It was there and then it was gone. The surfers kept surfing and the fishermen kept on fishing. Ethereal rays of light going deep beneath the surface of the sea.
