To Breath

Oh, I can breathe again. I have not had time of late to sit and just write. To write some random thoughts and ideas that mean almost nothing but have a smidgeon of residual worth, at least to me.

We are voting again here and all the demogagues are coming out of their closets to convince us that their policies will provide us with "peace and security." I no longer can figure out the "Peace Process" (not that I ever could) and the newspapers only add to my confusion. On day the headlines scream that a Hamas ruled P.A. government will be unyeilding and create a divisivness never before seen in this region (hard to believe though). Then the sceaming mimies decry that there is hope and reconcilliation is just beyond the horizon.

So what can one believe?

Here's what I believe. I believe that I will go to the desert tomorrow to help my Berber friend take photos. I will bring gifts for his daughter and hang out with them at night. I will say "hi" to my Bedouin friends and perhaps take some camel photos. Who knows? The stars will be out and if I am lucky, somebody will be playing some music, singing, or hanging out by a fire drinking tea and coffee. I would rather hang out with my friends than worry about which politician will do what for me.

Talking about who will do what...how about our environment? Why the deafening silence? My "secruity" has as much to do with bomb blasts as it does with cancerous toxins floating in my drinks. Urrr...makes me want to box some ears.
