Freds Out in Friggen Force

Please don't be offended if your name is Fred, but the Fred's were out in force today. I frantically tried to fend them off as they wandered into the designated bike area with their unleashed frantic dogs who were frolicking dangerously close to my wheels at times. Other coffee klutch bike groups straddled four across making one wonder if these pheasant like cyclists (they wore outlandishly colored clothing) had any idea that they were blocking the path for those of us who desired to push the pace a bit on this fantastically beautiful day. Regardless, the ride was wonderful and I felt pretty good for not having ridden on anything but rollers and in spinning classes for the past two weeks. Did the beast of a short hill five times flawlessly today which I haven't been able to do for some time. Must be my improved balance which I have been working on of late.

Had a vertigo attack on the highway today too with Eva in the car. Not a seismic monster like the one two weeks ago, but we had to cancel our journey and head back home. I slept for a few hours and now only a residue of nausea remains. Must have been due to the Fred's earlier in the morning. Not sure what other reason to ascribe this to anymore.

Happy New Year All...May your plans pan out and may you find happiness and resolve. Make your voice heard. Demand that our business leaders (on the local level) invest in the environment. Downfriggensize (that's a nice word)...It does not have to be bigger to be better. It does not have to be expense to have worth. Learn to enjoy those things that are priceless like mist in the woods or a dust devil dancing across the desert. If you don't enjoy those things well I just kind of pity you. Freds...
J
