Only Clouds and Rock

So I think I can see
The rocks and rainbow colors
Of Mizpe as a dream

But I fool myself

For this crater
This big hole in the ground
Is too complex
Too old
Too convoluted in time
For a simpleton like me
To grasp

And what I end up seeing
Is nothing more than clouds and rock
