Heroes as cowboys? Perhaps Willie did get it right and his conveyance/admittance that cowboys, like all of us, are not perfect, thus what we have in common is substantial. Why am I even thinking about this? Well, after reading about Tiger I got to thinking that we held this highly personal man up on a pedestal based purely on marketing molds which were carefully shaped and carefully edited. We didn’t, don’t nor will we ever know this guy nor should we even try. His business, his problems, are not really any of our concern. And now he’s a cowboy.
