You know, we all seem to go down so many lost roads in our lives. Roads that don't have a name and take us from our intended destination. But some of these roads lead us where we didn't know we were going and when we get there it's like coming home.

On Heading To The States
Sometimes it feels ever good to be headed "home." Regardless of the time that I have spent here in Israel, the last 20 years, I will always feel that "home" is Connecticut. Home is New England. Home is the deserts of Utah and Arizona. Home is Colorado and its mountains as well as it's deserts and vast plains. There are so many "homes" in the U.S. that are tattooed upon my heart and though there are aspects of this country that I consider "home" too, I suppose the vastness of the states just overwhelms. Regardless, I have a two-week respite and who could ask for more.
